Overview

QSettings is a standalone application used to control a variety of settings used by your Q and QStudio installation.

Starting QSettings

On Microsoft Windows platforms QSettings is started by selecting Start...Programs...Qube...QSettings, or by opening a command prompt and typing qsettings at the prompt.

The following window will be shown (the exact list of categories and pane detail will vary with the release of Q):

Selecting a category

Settings are divided into the categories shown in the list on the left of the screen. Click on a category to change the right-hand side of the screen to the appropriate property page.

Applying or cancelling changes

QSettings will only apply your changes when you click the OK button. At this point the settings you have chosen will be validated and you may need to correct items before proceeding.

If you decide that you don't want to make the changes permanent click Cancel or press Escape.

Context-sensitive help

If you want help on a particular category of settings click the Help button after you have selected the appropriate category, or press F1.
